• The Río Hatillo Formation was deposited in a shallow, near-shore environment as part of the Cretaceous Volcanic Arc sections.
• The Río Hatillo Formation includes a basal conglomerate, sandstones and calcareous sandstones covered by massive biogenic limestone. The fauna assemblage described herein was collected from the clastic rocks within the lower part of Río Hatillo Formation by N. Russell.

Collection methods: The invertebrates herein described were collected by N. Russell, identified by the senior author and are housed in the paleontologic collection of the National Museum of Natural History in Havana, Cuba (MNHNCu).
